Configuration Guide: 5 Settings Most Users Actually Need
If you are not a developer, skip advanced parameters for now.
These five settings are enough for stable daily use.
1. Shared folder
Pick one location and keep it stable.
Recommended structure:
Photos/Videos/Documents/Transit/
2. Remote upload
This controls whether other devices on the same network can upload.
Suggested defaults:
- personal setup: off
- family/team setup: on, with clear usage rules
3. Delete permission
Keep delete permission conservative by default.
Stability first, convenience second.
4. Access entry
Use one consistent entry:
- LAN address
- QR access
Consistency reduces support and communication overhead.
5. Auto-stop vs always-on
- temporary usage: auto-stop can be helpful
- shared hub/NAS usage: stable always-on mode is usually better
A simple default baseline
- stable shared folder
- upload by scenario
- delete conservative by default
- one clear access entry
- weekly backup cadence
